The Roche CARDIAC POC NT-proBNP test enables rapid and accurate quantitative determination of NT-proBNP in blood using the cobas® h 232 POC analyzer system. NT-proBNP is a key diagnostic marker for acute and chronic heart failure recommended by internal medicine guidelines. This test offers the possibility to detect heart failure at an early stage and to assess the severity of the disease, which enables effective treatment. The measurement results of the cobas h 232 system show a high level of agreement with fully automated laboratory methods, which further increases the reliability of the results. The Roche CARDIAC NT-proBNP test strips have been specially developed for use with the cobas h 232 PoC device. They have a wide quantitative measurement range, which enables them to provide reliable information for the diagnosis and risk stratification of patients with acute coronary syndrome. In addition, the test supports therapy monitoring of patients with compensated left ventricular dysfunction. The rapid test system allows immediate determination of important blood values for heart disease directly at the point-of-care, making it ideal for use in outpatient clinics, doctors' offices and emergency rooms.
