CoaguChek® Pro II PT Test

The CoaguChek Pro II system is a state-of-the-art point-of-care device for the rapid and accurate diagnosis of coagulation disorders. It provides clinically relevant coagulation parameters that are comparable to laboratory results. With this handy system, healthcare professionals can determine prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) within minutes. Developed for use in clinical environments, the CoaguChek Pro II system fulfills the requirements of the German Medical Association's guidelines for quality assurance (RiliBÄK). It has a WLAN connection that enables fast networking and data transfer using a QR code and smartphone. The integrated data management functions with a barcode scanner facilitate data entry and the results are visible on the color touchscreen display after just three simple steps. An important aspect of the CoaguChek Pro II system is its comprehensive internal quality control capability, which ensures that the measurement results are reliable. These results show very good agreement with laboratory results, further improving diagnostic accuracy. The device is compact and lightweight, with dimensions of only L 187 x W 97 x H 43 mm and a weight of 280 g (without batteries). It is therefore ideal for use in various clinical environments, including operating theaters, emergency rooms and intensive care units. Technically, the CoaguChek Pro II system is based on an electrochemical measurement principle for thromboplastin time and aPTT. The measurement time is approximately 1 minute for PT and a maximum of 5 minutes for aPTT. The measuring range includes %Q (5 - 120), SEC (9.6 - 96) and INR (0.8 - 8.0). The device has a memory for approx. 2,000 patient results, 500 QC data and 120 code chips, which enables comprehensive data recording. The scope of delivery includes the Roche CoaguChek Pro II system, a power supply unit and operating instructions.
