Microlitre pipettes are an integral piece of laboratory volumetric equipment. They allow you to take up very small amounts of liquid. Here are some good things to remember when pipetting:

1. Remove the pipette tip straight upwards from the container as it avoids altering the volume of the liquid. 

2. Use the correct immersion tip and the correct pipette tip for your device. 

3. Be careful not to touch the pipette tips or reservoirs with bare hands as this might affect the temperature balance in the solution and lead to an inaccurate volume of liquid being delivered.
