Universal splints are a medical device commonly used in emergency services to stabilize patients with fractures, sprains and other injuries.

Universal splints are made of flexible foam or plastic with an aluminum core that comes in a variety of sizes and shapes to fit the contour of the body. The splint is placed on either side of the affected body part and held in place with a bandage or dressing. By immobilizing the affected limb, movement is restricted and the injury is stabilized, preventing pain and further injury.

Universal splints can also be used as an immobilization aid to hold the body in a specific position, such as in cases of suspected spinal injury. In these cases, the splints are placed to keep the patient's head, neck, back and legs in a straight position. In our store, we have the original SAM splints, the splints from Fleischhackers' house brand WESTMED and the AEROres splints from Hum. The splints are available in lengths of 5, 50 cm or 100 cm and rolled or folded, depending on preference and space in the emergency backpack. The splints can be cut to any size.
