CARDIAC D-Dimer for cobas h232 POC analyzer system

The CARDIAC D-Dimer test from Roche is a high-performance test strip for the quantitative determination of D-Dimer in blood, which was specially developed for the cobas® h 232 POC analyzer system. This test enables rapid and reliable diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), which is particularly important as diagnosis based on clinical symptoms alone is often difficult. Detecting DVT and LE based solely on symptoms such as a feeling of tension in the legs, chest pain or shortness of breath is a challenge. This is where the CARDIAC D-Dimer test comes into play by enabling a diagnosis of exclusion. The total measurement time is just 8 minutes, which enables rapid deployment and immediate decision-making. The results of the test are available in just a few minutes, which ensures efficient patient care. This speed makes the CARDIAC D-Dimer test suitable for use in medical practices as well as in emergency situations such as ambulances and home visits. The test is based on a quantitative immunological method for the determination of D-dimer in the blood. It is used with the cobas h 232 PoC device from Roche and contains a code chip with calibration data for the test strip batch. The sample material is heparinized venous whole blood with a sample volume of 150 μl. The measuring range is between 0.1 and 4 μg/ml, and the supported units are μg/ml, ng/ml, mg/l and μg/l. The test is stable at storage temperatures of 2 - 8 °C and can be used immediately after removal from the refrigerator. After opening the pouch, the test must be performed within 15 minutes to achieve optimal results.
