The cobas® Lipid Panel Gen. 2 enables rapid and reliable measurement of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), and HDL cholesterol directly at the point-of-care. Using just 17 µl of capillary whole blood or venous EDTA whole blood, the test delivers reliable results in under 6 minutes. The sample can be applied directly from a fingerstick—no separate blood collection is required. An integrated, fail-safe mechanism ensures high accuracy in triglyceride measurement. The test discs can be easily stored at 2–30 °C. Lipid testing supports the early identification of at-risk patients, targeted cholesterol and lipid management, and the monitoring of treatment goals. When used with the cobas® click or cobas® b 101 instrument, lipid profiles and HbA1c can be determined in a 15-minute workflow.
