B.Braun's Vasofix® Mandrins are thin and rod-shaped inserts that are inserted into the cavity of a venous catheter to stabilise it for insertion into the vein. The stylet temporarily gives the catheter a firm structure while it is positioned through the vein to the desired location. The Vasofix® Mandrins are also suitable for brief interruption of infusions and transfusions. The mandrins provide a secure closure of the lumen. Colour coding helps with quick and easy size identification. A lock-lock feature prevents leakage of blood and fluids. Vasofix® Mandrins are latex and PVC free.
