Jonosteril is an infusion solution from the pharmaceutical company Fresenius Kabi that is used for parenteral fluid and electrolyte replacement. The solution is sterile and preservative-free and is available in various volumes and compositions.

Indications:

Jonosteril is used in adults, neonates, infants, children and adolescents for:

  • Treatment of extracellular dehydration
  • Treatment of hyponatremia
  • Treatment of hypokalemia
  • Treatment of hypochloremia
  • Treatment of acidosis
  • Prophylaxis of dehydration and electrolyte loss

Jonosteril is an aqueous solution containing various electrolytes in different concentrations. The most important components are

  • Sodium chloride
  • Potassium chloride
  • Calcium chloride
  • Magnesium chloride
  • Sodium acetate
  • Potassium acetate

 Pharmaceuticals

Distribution in accordance with § 47 para. 1 of the German Medicines Act only to pharmacies / doctors / hospitals and wholesalers with appropriate authorization.
