The PVC hyperventilation mask from HUM offers an effective therapy for patients who suffer from unnaturally high breathing rates due to psychological causes. This mask enables the hyperventilation cycle to be interrupted by breathing back into a closed bag. The oxygen content (~17%) in the exhaled air is sufficient for breathing, while rebreathing the patient's own breath leads to an increase in the CO2 content. Clinically clean, non-sterile and latex-free, the mask is safe to use. Bag breathing should be briefly interrupted every 30 seconds to avoid hypoxia. With a shelf life of 5 years, it is a reliable choice for the treatment of hyperventilation.
