WESTMED® Replantation Kits

The WESTMED® Emergency Replantation Kits were developed for professional initial care, as well as for the hygienic, low-contamination storage and temperature-controlled transport of amputated body parts until replantation can be performed. The kits are available in three versions tailored to specific body areas: leg, hand, and arm. All variants are based on a two-stage packaging system: The amputated limb is first placed in a sterile replantation bag and then cooled in a double-walled bag. The included WESTMED® Instant Cooling Compress enables indirect cooling, thereby preventing direct contact between the amputated limb and the coolant. In addition, the included WESTMED® emergency blanket / insulating foil protects against external influences and supports isolated care. The clearly organized components enable rapid and structured use in an emergency. The WESTMED® Emergency Replantation Kits are designed for preclinical and clinical use by professional users and are particularly suitable for emergency medical services, emergency rooms, surgical clinics, and other medical facilities where amputation injuries are treated.
