The clinically tested medical device (Institute for Diabetes Karlsburg, Germany) measures blood glucose levels in the range of 20–630 mg/dL and is plasma-calibrated. Thanks to the illuminated XXL LCD display measuring 3.5 x 4.2 cm, the readings are easy to read at all times. In addition, the illuminated test strip insertion slot ensures convenient handling, even in poor lighting conditions. The extra-wide, code-free test strips are particularly easy to insert and support user-friendly application. An integrated blood volume control ensures that the measurement is only taken if the blood sample is large enough, thus increasing the reliability of the results. For structured diabetes management, measurements can be specifically marked—for example, before eating, after eating, or with a general label.  With a memory for 480 measurements, the GL 44 offers comprehensive documentation of blood sugar development. Using the “beurer HealthManager Pro USB Uploader” PC software, the data can be transferred via USB, integrated into the app, evaluated, and exported as needed to share with your doctor. The automatic shut-off function supports energy-efficient use. The device is powered by two CR2032 button cells and is suitable for home use. In addition to the meter, the starter set contains a patented Soft+Safe lancing device, lancets in two sizes (28G and 33G), test strips, a practical case, and a diary—for an immediate and convenient start to self-monitoring your blood glucose.
