Combat-Application-Tourniquet™ C-A-T, tourniquet system is a one-hand tourniquet system that helps to temporarily cut off heavy blood flow in an emergency. The strap is adjustable in size and can be applied to all extremities. The abbreviated CAT is easy to use, but should still only be used by medically trained personnel. For use, the toggle is fixed with one hand and the Velcro closure provides additional stability when transporting the patient. The tourniquet system is only suitable for adults and should only be used in a life-threatening emergency situation. The Combat-Application-Tourniquet™ C-A-T provides security during transport, due to the Velcro closure.
