Ringer solution, 500 mL, free-flex® bag

Sterile, electrolyte-containing infusion solution for parenteral use

Ringer's solution from Fresenius is a sterile, electrolyte-containing infusion solution for parenteral use (intravenous infusion). It is available in a practical freeflex® bag containing 500 mL.

Indications:

• Dehydration (dehydration)
• Electrolyte loss
• Hypovolemia (lack of volume in the bloodstream)
• Preparation and accompaniment of operations
• Shock therapy

Composition:

The Ringer's solution contains the following electrolytes:

• Sodium chloride (NaCl)
• Potassium chloride (KCl)
• Calcium chloride (CaCl2)
• Sodium hydrogen carbonate (NaHCO3)

The Ringer's solution quickly and effectively compensates for electrolyte losses and helps to fill the bloodstream and stabilize blood pressure. Ringer's solution contains sodium hydrogen carbonate, which can help to buffer acidosis. It is compatible with most other infusion solutions and medications. The freeflex® bag ensures user-friendliness.

Important notes:

• Ringer's solution should only be used when prescribed by a doctor.
• It should be used under medical supervision.
• The infusion rate should be adapted to the patient's individual requirements.
• The solution should not be used in patients with hypernatremia, hyperkalemia, hyperchloremia or acidosis.
