ChitoGauze® XR PRO is an extremely tear-resistant gauze impregnated with haemostatic chitosan, which is effective after 2-3 minutes of pressure. The gauze is pleasantly soft and does not soften even when wet, ideal for packing onto the bleeding. Where conventional means of stopping bleeding are not possible, such as tourniquets that cannot be applied to the neck, the ChitoGauze® XR PRO is used. ChitoGauze® XR PRO are specially designed for emergency services and police. They have X-ray contrast strips to ensure that no residues of the preparation remain in the wound. The packaging is minimalist to fit into even the smallest spaces.
