The RÜSCH® Wendl nasopharyngeal tube, made from high-quality, flexible WIRUPREN®, is a proven aid in professional airway management. It is used to quickly and effectively secure the airway in unconscious or semi-conscious patients – without invasive intubation. 

Inserted through the nose, the Wendl tube keeps the airway open and prevents soft tissues such as the tongue from blocking breathing. This makes it particularly suitable for use in cases of jaw injuries or when oral access is restricted. Compared to the classic Guedel tube, the nasopharyngeal tube is perceived as more comfortable by many patients, as it does not trigger a pronounced gag reflex and protects the natural airway. This makes it the ideal choice for emergency medicine, rescue services, endoscopy, or use in anesthesia and sedation.

The tube is made of latex-free, anatomically adaptable material and has an adjustable disc for secure fixation to the nose. The slightly widened end facilitates handling and ensures a stable fit during use. Each nasopharyngeal tube is individually sterile packed to meet the highest hygiene requirements and be ready for use at any time.

Available in sizes CH 14, CH 18, CH 20, CH 22, CH 24, CH 30, CH 32, and CH 34, the RÜSCH® Wendl Nasopharyngeal Tube offers a flexible selection for different anatomical conditions and clinical requirements. It is the ideal solution for situations where uncomplicated, effective airway management is necessary—both in professional rescue operations and in everyday clinical practice.
