The S-Sedivette® BSG (blood sedimentation citrate 1:5) is a closed collection system for blood sedimentation measurement. Unlike the classic method, the system does not need to be opened. This makes handling more hygienic and reduces material costs. The measurement is performed without decanting blood and sedimentation pipette. The S-Sedivette® allows you to choose between vacuum technology and the aspiration principle for blood collection. The system is pre-dosed with 0.7 ml citrate, which corresponds to the prescribed mixing ratio with blood. After a waiting time of one hour, the clearly contrasted scale shows the sedimentation value, measured in mm according to Westergren.
