CoaguChek® Pro II aPTT Test

The CoaguChek aPTT test strips, specially developed for the CoaguChek Pro II system, enable quick and easy determination of the activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) directly at the point-of-care. These measurements are crucial for monitoring patients receiving anticoagulant therapies as they assess blood clotting ability. The test principle is based on the electrochemical measurement of aPTT after activation of blood clotting with Celite. The test strips are designed exclusively for the CoaguChek Pro II system and ensure high accuracy of the measurement results. Handling is easy as the sample application field can be filled from the side or from the top. Each pack contains 2 x 24 test strips and a code chip that reads relevant information into the system. The measurement takes about 5 minutes and can be carried out with capillary blood as well as venous or arterial whole blood. The test strips are insensitive to external influences and offer a wide measuring range of 20-130 plasma-equivalent seconds. They are stable at storage temperatures from +2 °C to +30 °C and enable reliable monitoring of anticoagulation therapies in clinical practice.
