The Thomas endotracheal tube holder from Laerdal Medical GmbH sets new standards in the attachment of endotracheal tubes and fulfils the requirements of both patients and medical staff. This innovative tube holder offers state-of-the-art functions and safety for use in paediatric patients. With a quick-release screw, the Thomas tube holder holds the ET tube securely in place and enables effortless removal without problems with fixation straps. The integrated bite block not only protects the tube, but also the patient. A wide Velcro strap ensures a secure and comfortable hold, even when wet. The Thomas endotracheal tube holder is suitable for tube sizes from ≥ 4.3 mm (inner diameter) to 15.8 mm (outer diameter). A locking screw with screw mechanism ensures that the tube clamp is securely fixed. A large mouthpiece surface is ideal for patients with removed dentures or facial injuries. Furthermore, the tube has a suction opening with a large opening for a clear view of the patient's mouth and lip colour as well as easy access to suction and other necessary activities in the mouth. The wide head strap with padding, hook and loop ensure a secure and comfortable fit, even when wet. The flexible bite block with its unique design prevents the patient from obstructing the air flow in the tube by biting or squeezing. The flexible material protects teeth and gums.
