The Pylant Monitor (TuBo Cuff) is used to measure and control the cuff pressure of endotracheal tubes and tracheal cannulae.

With the Pylant Monitor, overpressure or underpressure can be detected quickly. The risk of aspiration of contaminated secretions with consequences of pneumonia, which can be caused by leakage, is reduced, as is the risk of possible necrosis or irreversible tracheomalacia by depressing the microcirculation in the tracheal mucosa. In addition, the patient-specific cuff pressure gauge prevents the transmission of bacteria and viruses from patient to patient.

It is the safest preventive measure especially in highly infectious patients.
