WESTMED® Foam ECG Electrode, Ø 40 mm, Solid-Gel

The WESTMED® ECG foam electrode with a diameter of 40 mm is a reliable and powerful solution for ECG short-term monitoring in emergency and intensive care medicine. Thanks to its compact design, high-quality materials and innovative gel technology, it is particularly suitable for applications where speed, stability and precision are required.

The electrode uses a solid gel that is chemically stabilized, does not leak and adheres independently to the skin and electrode. As a result, the gel always retains its shape and leaves no residue on the skin - ideal for hygienic and clean applications. In combination with an Ag/AgCl sensor, the electrode ensures precise and constant signal transmission, even for short application times.

The foam carrier material ensures good adhesion and a comfortable fit, but is not breathable and therefore not suitable for sensitive skin. The integrated carbon push button ensures a stable, secure connection to the ECG device. A particular advantage is the electrode's X-ray transparency, which means that it can also be used during X-ray, MRI or CT scans without impairing imaging.

A possible disadvantage of the solid gel is that the skin is less moist, which means that additional skin preparation may be required to ensure optimum signal quality.
