IO-leg, for Resusci® Anne / modular systems

The Left IO Leg for the Resusci® Anne / Modular System is an advanced training device specifically designed to train healthcare professionals in the placement of intraosseous access. This lifelike model provides a precise replica of the human anatomy and allows important life-saving techniques to be learned and practiced in a safe and controlled environment. The leg is characterized by its detailed representation of the proximal tibia including the tuberosity, making it easier to determine the exact location of the puncture. The tactile landmarks help users to reliably identify the optimal puncture point. The realistic resistance of the simulated tibia during puncture provides an authentic feeling that corresponds to the actual conditions during a puncture. To check the correct position of the needle, the simulated bone marrow can be aspirated, making the training situation even more realistic. With a capacity of up to 1000 mL, medication and infusions can be administered via the IO leg, allowing a variety of training scenarios and treatment options to be played out. The interchangeable skin, which is attached with Velcro fasteners, enables quick and uncomplicated replacement so that the training device is quickly ready for use again. The IO leg can be used as a stand-alone task trainer or attached to Laerdal training models with hard legs. This flexibility allows for seamless integration into existing training systems and scenarios, which significantly expands the application possibilities.

The scope of delivery includes a complete IO leg consisting of calf, foot, tibial IO blood cartridge and IO leg skin, an external IO bag for hydration during training sessions, artificial blood concentrate to simulate blood during infusion, two replacement blood cartridges and an Ersa Left IO leg, for Resusci® Anne / -modular system skin for quick replacement after multiple use.
