The ProSet Intrafix® SafeSet 180 cm, RV, 1 Discofix® C, 15 cm is a high-quality infusion set that has been specially developed for precise and safe pressure and gravity infusions. It is characterized by a handy drip chamber design with a highly transparent sight glass that enables clear monitoring of the fluid flow. The flexible drip chamber base facilitates quick and easy adjustment of the liquid level, while the free-standing, elongated dropper ensures uniform drop formation (20 drops correspond to 1 ml ± 0.1 ml distilled water). An integrated 15 µm filter reliably protects the infusion solution from coarse particles. Particularly noteworthy is the ergonomic design of the roller clamp, which securely holds the spike and thus facilitates disposal. The SafeSet variants of the ProSet are equipped with AirStop and PrimeStop filter membranes, which ensure a controlled infusion rate and minimize the risk of air embolisms. Another safety feature is the built-in non-return valve, which provides additional safety when gravity and pressure infusions are used in parallel. It prevents retrograde delivery into the gravity infusion and maintains the pressure alarm function of the infusion pump used at the same time. The Discofix® C, a three-way stopcock that is resistant to drugs and stress cracking, minimizes the dead space volume and thus optimizes the efficient use of drugs via perfusor lines.
