Veca-C™ from Becton Dickinson GmbH are cannula fixation patches made of non-woven fabric and with a foil window for constant and easy monitoring of the puncture site. Due to their structure, the sterile cannula fixation patches act as an antibacterial filter and protect the puncture site from the penetration of external bacteria. The Veca-C™ are waterproof but allow air and water vapour to pass through. Perfect fixation is provided, allowing the tubing to be changed without touching the dressing. The dressing fits tightly and cannot be removed without moving the venous access, thus avoiding widening of the puncture site.
