The Ventrain Emergency Kit Fona Emergency Ventilation System is an innovative single-use manual ventilator specially designed to manage difficult airway situations. It is based on the principle of Expiratory Ventilation Assistance (EVA), which enables safe and effective ventilation by controlling both inspiration and active expiration. Its ease of use, where inspiration and expiration are controlled with just one thumb, makes the device ideal for use in emergencies where rapid action is required.

The Ventrain system supplies the patient with oxygen during inspiration and at the same time actively removes expiratory gases from the lungs. This significantly reduces the risk of barotrauma and circulatory collapse and at the same time ensures effective removal of carbon dioxide. Thanks to this technology, a balanced breathing ratio can be achieved in critical situations, which stabilizes the oxygen supply and relieves the airways.

 The device is frequently used in Cannot Intubate, Cannot Oxygenate situations, as well as for bridging intubations or extubations, laryngeal interventions or pediatric emergencies. In combination with the Cricath transtracheal catheter or the Tritube endotracheal tube, the Ventrain system enables oxygen levels to be restored quickly and reliably. With a minute volume of up to 7.5 liters per minute, it ensures effective ventilation, even in challenging scenarios.

The system requires a medical oxygen source or an oxygen-air mixture from a high-pressure gas source equipped with a pressure-compensated flow meter. The mode of operation is based on the Venturi principle, which supports both inspiration by gas flow and active expiration by suction.
