The i-gel® Plus Resus Pack for adults is a complete, ready-to-use set for modern airway management in emergency medicine. It was specially developed for preclinical and clinical emergency situations where every second counts and structured, reliable airway management is required. The supraglottic airway device is impressively intuitive to use and can usually be placed in less than five seconds. Since there is no cuff to deflate or inflate, no additional preparation steps are required. The integrated, anatomically shaped, non-inflatable cuff seals reliably immediately after insertion, reducing potential sources of error and time-critical interruptions, for example during resuscitation. A key safety feature of the i-gel® Plus is the enlarged gastric channel. This allows the insertion of a larger gastric tube up to 16CH, depending on the size selected, thereby supporting effective drainage of stomach contents. This further reduces the risk of aspiration, especially in patients with an increased risk of regurgitation or vomiting. In addition, the extended cuff tip contributes to improved sealing of the esophagus and supports effective aspiration protection.The newly integrated intubation ramp provides additional flexibility in airway management. It enables optimized guidance of the tracheal tube, for example during fiberoptic-assisted intubation, and thus facilitates the transition to definitive airway management if clinically necessary. This makes the system suitable for challenging scenarios with potentially difficult airways. In addition to the i-gel® Plus airway device, the Resus Pack contains a sachet of lubricant, an airway fixation strap, and a 16CH gastric tube. This means that everything needed for quick and safe use is available in an emergency. The color-coded hook ring allows immediate size identification and supports efficient material selection under time pressure. The product is designed for single use, is made of thermoplastic elastomer, is latex-free, and has an integrated supplemental oxygen port.

The i-gel® Plus Resus Pack for adults is suitable for emergency medicine, resuscitation situations in accordance with international guidelines, acute clinical care, and for use by emergency services and emergency medical teams. It can be used as part of passive airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation with passive oxygen delivery. In addition, it is a proven alternative to endotracheal intubation, especially in cases of difficult airways or when rapid airway security is required.
