Our proven XL emergency backpacks are also available with a front pocket. Your advantage: quick access to emergency equipment, such as all standard AED models, or to the XL container and system modules, such as the ampoule kit.
The STAVANGER XL4000 with front pocket
The XL4000 emergency backpack is made of durable CORDURA® fabric and robust truck tarpaulin. The 4-cm-wide polyester webbing is a perimeter edge protector and double-stitched to the backpack's body on all four sides. The loop is secured by cross stitching, rivets and an additional webbing section and has been tested for tensile properties. The winch loop, integrated into the edge protection, serves as an anchor point for high-altitude rescue and can also be used as a makeshift handle. Please refer to the "Documents" tab for exact specifications on tear resistance.
The clear pocket on the front directly reveals the filling, such as a defibrillator. However, if you don't like that, you can cover the front with the included insert. The front pocket is designed so that the container or system module XL fits inside. Between the front and the inner body is the compartment for the immobilization collar or even documents.
Double-running piping protects the 3-sided, 2-way zipper. Thanks to the zipper system, the case halves can be opened fully and grants easier access to the case. The rescue backpack has ergonomically designed shoulder straps with additional chest and waist straps for use during longer rescue trips. In addition, the XL4000 has an auxiliary handle for shouldering the backpack and a 2-piece carry handle for convenient removal from the rescue vehicle. A retaining rubber band attached to the back ensures that the shoulder straps stay in place when not in use. Thus, they do not interfere if the backpack is carried as a suitcase.
Working out of the backpack
The interior of the STAVANGER XL4000 consists of a tray equipped with magnets for the holding system and container modules. The backpack lid contains various clear film pockets for holding loose utensils for emergencies and rubber loops for instruments or small diagnostic items. The mesh compartments in the side walls of the tub are particularly suitable for storing gloves. Extensive accessories, such as an oxygen holder, container and system modules make the backpack universally applicable.
For example, our container and system modules are suitable for working out of the backpack. For ventilation emergencies, an oxygen cylinder of up to 2 liters can be accommodated using the oxygen holder, which is available as an accessory.
