SAM-IO® training needle

The SAM-IO® training needle was specially developed for realistic training and simulation with the SAM IO intraosseous access system. It provides medical professionals with safe and practice-oriented training in the use of IO access. The design, weight and handling of the training needle is based exactly on the original SAM-IO® infusion needles. As a result, users experience authentic haptic feedback when inserting the needle into training models or bone dummies, which makes training more realistic and effective. The training needle can be used several times and is ideal for simulation training.

The SAM-IO® training needle is available in three different lengths - 15 mm, 25 mm and 45 mm - to match the clinical variants in order to be able to practice the application on different patient groups (pediatric to obese). This enables targeted preparation for use under different anatomical conditions. The robust design ensures a long service life even with frequent use. Combined with the SAM IO Driver, the training needle offers a fully functional exercise system.
