BD Nexiva™ Single Port Closed IV catheter system

BD Nexiva™ Closed IV Catheter System is a ready-to-use and closed IV catheter system with single port. The single port minimises potential sources of contamination and reduces the risk of infection. The biocompatible material of the catheter and the non-puncture manipulation via the integrated tube extension ensure a longer catheter retention time. A passive cannula protection ensures that puncture and scratch injuries are reliably prevented. The BD Nexiva™ Closed IV Catheter System closes the entire catheter after the cannula has been withdrawn, thus the vein does not have to be occluded. Furthermore, the closed septum prevents blood contact when removing the cannula. BD Nexiva™ with BD Connecta™ 3-way stopcock and has an integrated closed luer access system, the BD Q-Syte™, which prevents unwanted fluid leakage. Colour coding ensures good and quick size identification.
