Syringes are typically used in clinical medicine but can be applied to other industries as well, such as volumetric work in laboratories. A syringe works when the plunger or the piston is pushed through a barrel that it fits tightly into. The pressure then allows the syringe to take up or expel material and the opening of the syringe may be fitted with a nozzle, needle or tubing.
For this purpose we offer Sterican® cannulas for aspirating, with and without filter. The nature of the disposable cannula makes it suitable for preparing medicines. The cannula tube is made of stainless chrome-nickel steel and has a very smooth surface with a fine silicone coating. The Luer-Lock attachment prevents liquids from escaping. Sterican® Mix® 18 G has an angled cut, which minimises the risk of needlestick injuries.
