The sealing film stretches up to 200% and conforms to irregular shapes and surfaces. It is free of plasticizers and consists mainly of polyolefins and kerosene waxes.

PARAFILM® M complies with FDA requirements for use below 55 °C, as well as with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ensures continuous service temperature at -45 °C to +50 °C. The  film is resistant to many polar substances, such as salt solutions, inorganic acids and alkalis, for up to 48 hrs. After this period, embrittlement may occur.
