The unique and interchangeable polyethylene (PE) Safe-Cone filters act as a barrier to prevent vapors of any kind from reaching the internal components of the pipette.
The replacement interval of the filter depends on the sample and the application. According to studies, however, the filter should be changed daily (or after 50 to 250 pipetting procedures) and immediately in case of excessive aspiration.
To ensure the safety of the user, tweezers should be used to change the filter. The mLine® pipettes also have an integrated dispensing mechanism. Before using a new filter, it is recommended to clean the tip cone with ethanol (70%).
