Cellulose nitrate is the original material for membrane filters and still offers the widest range of pore sizes (8.0 μm - 0.45 μm). The coarser pore sizes (8 μm, 5 μm, 3 μm) are used in chemotaxis and in the separation of cells. The pore size 0.45 microns is used in the particle separation. The high nonspecific adsorption of the cellulose nitrate membrane is very advantageous for diagnostic rapid tests. The adsorption of the finer pore sizes is higher than that of the coarser ones. Washable ingredients with water: Less than 1%. Sterilization: By autoclaving at 121 ° C, gamma irradiation 25 kGy or with ETO. Thermal stability max 130 ° C. Thickness according to DIN 53105: 130 μm. Water flow rates per cm² area at 1 bar:

8 μm: 750 ml / min
5 μm: 570 ml / min
3 μm: 430 ml / min
