PORAFIL TE membranes made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are particularly suitable for aggressive media, as they are chemically inert to aqueous and organic solutions as well as concentrated acids and alkalis. The membranes are hydrophobic, so that when filtering aqueous solutions, the filtration pressure must be higher than the breakthrough pressure. The PORAFIL TE membranes can be used at temperatures up to 145 °C.
