Mini-Mill PULVERISETTE 23

Interchangeable Mini Mill PULVERISETTE 23 for the fine comminution of smallest quantities of dry laboratory samples or solids in suspensions, for mixing and homogenizing of emulsions. Well suited for sample preparation e.g. in chemical analysis, chromatography, mass spectrography or X-ray structure analysis, preparation of samples in genetic research, homogenization of active ingredients, preparation of extracts in forensic analysis, grinding of pigments and precious materials. The PULVERISETTE 23 is also ideal for digesting biological samples and for cryogenic comminution of frozen or chilled soft samples.

Operation

A generously dimensioned DC motor converts the rotary motion into a vertical oscillating motion via a reciprocating piston drive. Due to the vibrations of the grinding bowl with high amplitude and high frequency takes place in the grinding bowls crushing by impact between grinding balls and grinding bowl inner wall and by friction between grinding balls and grinding bowl inner wall. In contrast to comparable mills, a significantly better efficiency is achieved by the spherical grinding bowl interior, which is optimally adapted to the comminuting principle.

Domestic equipments
The mini-mill PULVERISETTE 23 is delivered as standard without grinding bowl and ball. Grinding bowls and balls are offered in 5 different materials so that contamination of the samples is avoided by undesired abrasion of grinding parts.
