The Deluxe Difficult Airway Trainer is a professional training model for realistic training in airway management in adult patients. Its anatomically correct internal structure allows for particularly realistic practice of standard and emergency procedures as regularly required in emergency medicine, anesthesia, and intensive care. A special feature is the manually inflatable tongue, which can be used to simulate a blocked airway or tongue edema. This allows difficult airway situations to be realistically simulated and safely trained.

The model depicts a male adult torso with detailed airways and supports both manual maneuvers and the use of mechanical aids. Users can practice oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal access to the airways under realistic conditions, perform endotracheal intubations up to selective intubation of the right main stem, and train ventilation techniques with a bag and mask. In addition, the trainer is suitable for invasive emergency procedures such as needle or surgical cricothyroidotomy, retrograde intubation, and percutaneous transtracheal jet ventilation. Tracheal suctioning can also be practiced safely on the model.
