Stericlin® indicator strips for steam sterilization

The Stericlin® Type 1 indicator strips for steam sterilization are specially developed test strips for the safe and reliable monitoring of sterilization processes in medical facilities. By changing color, they confirm whether instruments and materials have undergone a successful steam sterilization cycle, thus contributing significantly to infection prevention. The strips provide a clear distinction between sterilized and non-sterilized products, thus supporting safe patient care. Their structured design includes various fields for tracking the sterilization process: a batch field for traceability, a sterilizer field for identifying the device used, a contents field for documenting the sterile supplies, an expiry date field and an OK/Fail field for visual control of the result. In addition, the signature field provides a way to confirm the process in writing and strengthens staff accountability. These indicator strips comply with EN ISO 11140-1 for type 1 indicators and are designed for steam sterilization. They contain non-toxic, non-reversible process indicators that change to a deep black after a successful sterilization. The strips are for single use and have a shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture. An adhesive backing allows for easy archiving in the documentation for comprehensive process reliability.
