The AZURA® Valve Unifier VU 4.1 valve actuator enables automatic valve switching. Due to its short switching time, the flow path is only interrupted for a very short time and pressure peaks are reduced to a minimum. The valve actuator can be operated with software as well as with an optional touch display (Mobile Control), via LAN or analog input/output, allowing it to be integrated into almost any LC system. The valves are identified using innovative RFID technology, which simplifies valve replacement for KNAUER valves with an RFID chip. This RFID technology also enables GLP data to be read. For example, the recommended maintenance with rotor seal change is indicated by automatic notification.
Valves perform many different tasks in liquid chromatography systems (HPLC). They work as flow switches and control the flow direction in the HPLC system. Valves are indispensable for eluent selection, sample injection, column selection, fractionation and switching tasks. KNAUER valves are also frequently used outside of HPLC - e.g. for dosing applications in the chemical industry. With KNAUER valves you are flexible with regard to the choice of materials and bore sizes as well as drivers for different software packages. The AZURA VU 4.1 valve actuator supports over 40 valve types for a wide range of applications.
