Simply break the ampoule open at the top and let the entire contents drip into the BOD bottle. The pre-measured GGA contains the standard 198 mg/L BOD from glucose plus glutamic acid (GGA). The presence of the glass ampoule in the BOD bottle serves as a visual quick indicator that you have added GGA to the sample. The product is equivalent to standard methods.
