Securely sealed! Original Eppendorf Safe-Lock hinged lid!
You can always recognize the original Eppendorf Safe-Lock Tube by the lettering "ep" in the lid. The hinged lid on Eppendorf Safe-Lock Tubes provides excellent protection against accidental opening of the vessel lid and thus ensures maximum sample protection. This product feature is particularly important if you are working with valuable samples or buffers containing detergents such as SDS.

When incubated in a boiling water bath, only the Eppendorf Safe-Lock Tubes remained securely closed. In the case of vessels from manufacturers S and A, 10% to 20% of the lids opened, while for T and G it was more than a third and for V even almost 80%.
